Izzie Beirne

Curated and conceptualised by artists Gabriela Avila Yiptong, Izzie Beirne, Beverley Duckworth, Faissal El-Malak and Paul Fox, the exhibition interprets what it means to occupy territories within diverse boundaries, from the public to the private, the physical to the digital and the metaphysical, and through reiterations of past, present and future infrastructures. Through works of sculpture, installation and painting, using elements such as live seedlings, story-telling, archival language and spiritual mappings, the artists expand the meaning of territory and allude to the invisible labour embedded in the construction and maintenance of its different forms.
