Symbolism is key within my recent paintings using juxtaposing imagery to weave narrative threads through the kaleidoscopic compositions. Emblematic figures such as the peach and aubergine, which have become sexualised symbols in emoji form, speak to specific areas of interest. The richly coloured jewels and fabric allude to wealth and desire. These images are contrast with police tape, signifying violence and coercion.
